Under the overall objective of POCAR project to improve socio-economic status of marginalized families by supporting community youth, women and men to acquire basic skills and competencies to pursue decent employment and perform jobs well, this study sets out to: I. Identify employment and self-employment opportunities for the targeted families to improve their current livelihood options through Livelihood Investment Plans (LIPs); and prescribe the specific skills/capabilities required by targeted families within the LIPs, that will help improve livelihoods, rationalizing it upon market analysis. II. Identify training sources/institutes (public and private service providers) to impart hard skills for the identified beneficiaries. III. Assess the barriers for vocational skills training graduates to gain employment or self-employment; and effectiveness of the vocational skills program based on feedback of market actors, communities and technical/vocational skill imparting centers. IV. Identify job-matching platforms that may be relevant V. Devise strategies for linkages development with industries/entrepreneur VI. Identify the available resources/institutes/private organization working in the area for future sustainability.
